I can’t get this song out of my head…
A while back, in Puerto Princesa, Philippines, Fern and I went for a walk down the street in our quiet neighborhood and stopped in a pharmacy to look for some ibuprofen. It was a tiny place with a glass counter and a couple of ladies, probably in their 40’s, in white lab coats behind the counter. Very clean and professional. As we talked to one of them I noticed that the song Bubble Butt (by Major Razer) was playing on their sound system. It was the first time I had heard the song but it seemed like an odd place to hear it. We also saw the video for it, which is highly entertaining, in the back of a minibus on one of our long bumpy bus rides. I wouldn’t call it a great piece of music or anything but now it’s permanently embedded in my mind and it comes to the surface of my consciousness at frequent random times. It has become the soundtrack to countless adventures.
